Our verified reviews
Your consultation, in full transparency
Who will handle my request?
Once the questionnaire is complete, a general practitioner accepts your consultation after reviewing your medical file. If necessary, they can issue a medical document accepted in pharmacies, containing your treatment, or prescribe additional tests.
How quickly does the doctor respond?
The average waiting time observed for a consultation is under 35 minutes. As soon as you have finalised your request and completed the medical questionnaire, an available general practitioner quickly reviews your file. The teleconsultation then begins immediately.
How long will the exchange last?
The questionnaire allows the doctor handling your request to obtain information about your health and to establish a diagnosis. Once the doctor has reviewed your information, they will immediately start an exchange by instant messaging.

Medical questionnaire
Inspired by millions of in-person consultations, the questionnaire the patient completes is an essential first step that allows the doctor to establish a precise medical diagnosis.

Diagnosis
Based on your answers, the doctor reviews your request and talks with you directly by video call and/or instant messaging, then establishes a diagnosis.

Prescription
At the end of your consultation, the doctor sends you a medical document available in your personal space, letting you collect your treatment at the pharmacy without having to print it.

Is Wegovy reimbursed in 2026?
Is Wegovy covered by social security today?
Yes, Wegovy will now be covered by the French health insurance (Assurance Maladie) in France from mid-June 2026. This reimbursement applies to certain adults living with obesity, alongside a calorie-controlled diet and regular physical activity, and after a well-conducted nutritional programme has failed. This decision was made official by the order published in the Journal officiel on 28 May 2026. Wegovy reimbursement notably applies to patients with an initial BMI ≥ 40 kg/m² without comorbidity, or ≥ 35 kg/m² with certain recognised comorbidities. Reimbursement rate:• 65% covered by the Assurance Maladie
• In some cases (comorbidities, long-term illness status (ALD), complementary insurance top-up), cover can reach almost full coverage
• The remaining out-of-pocket cost depends on the patient's health insurance and medical situation
To obtain this treatment, you need a prescription from a a href="/en/symptome/generaliste">general practitioner or a specialist.
Why are people still talking about Wegovy reimbursement in 2026?
Wegovy reimbursement has been discussed since the HAS (French National Authority for Health) issued a favourable opinion on reimbursement only for adults with a BMI ≥ 35 kg/m², when a suitable nutritional programme has failed, and always alongside a calorie-controlled diet and regular physical activity. The HAS also states that the medical benefit is insufficient to justify cover in the other situations covered by the marketing authorisation (AMM). Important update (28 May 2026): The HAS issued a favourable opinion on reimbursing Wegovy for certain adults. This decision was confirmed by an order published in the Journal officiel, adding Wegovy to the list of reimbursable medicines from mid-June 2026.What is the reimbursement date for Wegovy?
Wegovy in France: reimbursement confirmed from mid-June 2026
Reimbursement of Wegovy by the Assurance Maladie will officially come into effect from mid-June 2026. The conditions for cover were set out in the order published in the Journal officiel of 28 May 2026.What should you watch to know if the situation changes?
Rather than waiting for a precise date, watch for certain key regulatory indicators:• A possible reimbursement decision by the Assurance Maladie.
• A publication in the official journals setting out the reimbursement conditions.
• Precise medical criteria and the definition of an eligible patient scope.
Actual entry on the list of reimbursed medicines. Wegovy remains unreimbursed in France until these steps have been completed. To check whether you are eligible for this treatment, easily consult an online doctor available in under 2 hours.
In which cases could Wegovy be reimbursed?
What criteria has the HAS set out?
According to the assessment of the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), Wegovy reimbursement is governed by strict conditions of cover for adults living with obesity. Here are the criteria used:• Adults aged 18 or over
• <Initial BMI ≥ 35 kg/m² or severe obesity
• Failure of a well-conducted nutritional programme (over 6 months and less than 5% weight loss)
• The treatment is always used alongside a calorie-controlled diet and physical activity to support weight loss
• Initial prescription reserved for doctors or structures specialising in obesity care
Within this framework, the HAS states that semaglutide (Wegovy) is a second-line treatment for the highest-risk patients. It may be used after diet and lifestyle measures have failed. For more information about anti-obesity medicines, easily consult a doctor without an appointment in under 2 hours on Feeli.
Why doesn't Wegovy reimbursement apply to all patients?
Although Wegovy is indicated in several obesity situations, the health authorities take a targeted approach to reimbursement, for three main reasons:1. Prioritising the most severe cases (BMI ≥ 35)
2. Controlling health spending due to the high cost of the treatment
3. The need for real-world evidence of effectiveness across larger populations In short, there is a gap between the (broader) marketing authorisation (AMM) and the favourable reimbursement opinion (a much narrower scope). To assess whether an anti-obesity treatment could suit your situation, a teleconsultation on Feeli is a convenient option without an appointment.
Is Wegovy reimbursed by complementary health insurance (mutuelle)?
Can a mutuelle reimburse part of the price of Wegovy?
In principle, a mutuelle covers all or part of the remaining out-of-pocket cost on top of Assurance Maladie reimbursement, depending on the contract taken out. Some complementary insurers may also cover services not covered by social security. However, this is not an automatic right and depends on the benefits set out in your contract. In other words, Wegovy will not be reimbursed by your mutuelle by default: remember to check your mutuelle's level of cover and the contract's exclusions. What benefits should you check in your contract?
It is advisable to check whether your mutuelle covers medicines that are not reimbursed, off-list procedures or health allowances. It can also be useful to check the waiting period, annual caps and exclusions, as most contracts mainly reimburse on top of social security cover (the remaining out-of-pocket cost). For the Complémentaire santé solidaire (CSS), the logic is different: it reimburses the complementary share of reimbursable care, up to the limit of the amount reimbursed by the Assurance Maladie. Is Wegovy reimbursed with the CMU (Complémentaire santé solidaire)?
Are CMU and CSS the same thing today?
Yes, the CMU-C has been replaced by the Complémentaire santé solidaire (CSS, or C2S). By covering the complementary share, i.e. the remainder not reimbursed by the Assurance Maladie, this scheme helps reduce healthcare costs. Depending on household resources, it can be free or require a small monthly contribution.Does the CMU reimburse Wegovy?
The Complémentaire santé solidaire (CSS, formerly CMU-C) covers the complementary share of care and medicines reimbursable by the Assurance Maladie. As long as Wegovy was not reimbursed, the CSS did not allow any reimbursement. From mid-June 2026, Wegovy becomes reimbursable for specific indications; this means the CSS will be able to reduce or remove all or part of the remaining out-of-pocket cost, depending on the patient's situation. However, the CSS does not cover a medicine that is not reimbursable by the Assurance Maladie. What documents should you request from your Caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM)?
If you want to apply for the CSS, the CPAM (local health insurance fund) will ask for the Complémentaire santé solidaire application form and the required proof of income. Once approved, the most useful document is the Complémentaire santé solidaire entitlement certificate, available from your Ameli account or sent by post. Also remember to update your Carte Vitale to make your cover and the waiver of upfront payment easier. How much does Wegovy cost without reimbursement?
What is the monthly price of Wegovy?
Wegovy is now covered by the Assurance Maladie in France from mid-June 2026, for certain strictly defined medical indications. Before reimbursement, the price observed in pharmacies was generally between 250 and 350 € per month, depending on the dose and the pharmacy. To be more precise, the cost mainly depends on the dosing schedule:• Start of treatment (0.25 mg to 1 mg): around 170 to 300 € / month
• Maintenance phase (1.7 to 2.4 mg): around 250 to 370 € / month
In short, the dose is gradually increased, which explains why the price changes over the months. In practice, Wegovy costs on average 250 to 350 €, with variation depending on the stage of treatment and the pharmacy.
Why does the price vary depending on the dose?
Each dose corresponds to a different amount of semaglutide; the price will naturally change according to the prescribed step. Wegovy is indeed available in several doses, with a gradual increase in dose over the weeks to reach the maintenance dose. The price variation is therefore a direct consequence of this therapeutic dose escalation.Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Wegovy reimbursement
